What’s New in the Splynx Stripe Integration
Splynx Stripe add-on now supports OAuth 2.0 as the default authentication method for all new connections. Previously, connecting Stripe required manually copying and pasting API keys – a process that also carried security risks if keys were ever mishandled or exposed. OAuth 2.0 eliminates that entirely with a single-click connect flow.
Why OAuth 2.0 Makes Stripe Payments More Secure
OAuth 2.0 is an industry-standard authorization protocol used by the world’s leading platforms. Here’s why it’s a meaningful upgrade for your Splynx Stripe integration:
- One-click setup – no API keys. Just press Connect, sign in to Stripe, and the accounts are linked. No Public Key or Secret Key to copy and paste.
- Stronger security. Your Stripe credentials are never directly handled by Splynx. Authentication flows entirely through Stripe’s own secure OAuth flow, keeping sensitive data off third-party systems.
- Multi-partner ready. Each partner or reseller in your ISP network can independently connect their own Stripe account – perfect for operators managing multiple sub-partners.
- Enabled by default. For all new Stripe connections in Splynx, OAuth 2.0 is the default. No extra steps needed.
How to Set Up the Splynx Stripe Integration with OAuth 2.0

- In Splynx, navigate to Config → Modules List and open the Stripe add-on settings.
- Set Authentication type to OAuth 2.0.
- Under Stripe credentials, click the Connect button.
- Select the partner account you want to link, then click Connect again.
- Enter your Stripe email address and select the Stripe account to connect.
- Once complete, the button will change to Connected – you’re all set.

Already Using Stripe with API Keys?
If you’re currently connected via API keys, your integration will continue to work without any changes. Switching to OAuth 2.0 is optional but recommended for improved security and easier management going forward.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does switching to OAuth 2.0 affect existing Stripe payments or saved customer card data?
No. Switching authentication methods does not affect payment data, saved credentials, or any active subscriptions. Payments continue to process normally.
Is OAuth 2.0 required for new Splynx Stripe setups?
It is the default for new connections, but API key authentication remains available if needed.
Does this work for ISPs with multiple Stripe accounts?
Yes. As a Stripe partner, Splynx supports connecting separate Stripe accounts per partner – each independently authorized via OAuth 2.0.
