This Analytics Privacy Policy explains how Splynx s.r.o. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects usage analytics data from administrators of the Splynx platform. This policy applies specifically to the Real User Monitoring (RUM) functionality within the Splynx admin panel and is separate from our general Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which cover our marketing website at splynx.com.
The data controller responsible for processing analytics data described in this policy is:
Splynx s.r.o. K Metru 227/8, 15521, Prague, Czech Republic Email: info@splynx.com Phone: (+420) 296 183 064
When you consent to analytics collection, we use an open-source tool called Grafana Faro Web SDK embedded in the Splynx admin panel to collect the following categories of data:
Pages visited within the admin panel (URL paths)
Navigation flow between pages (user journey)
Tab switches and feature interactions
Time spent on individual pages
Button clicks and key interface events
Page load times and Web Vitals metrics (LCP, FID, CLS, TTFB)
JavaScript errors and exceptions occurring in the browser
API request performance (response times, error rates)
A randomly generated device identifier (used solely to distinguish sessions; it does not identify you personally)
Browser type and version
Operating system
Screen resolution
Language preferences
We want to be clear about the boundaries of our data collection. We do not collect:
Your name, email address, or any login credentials
Passwords or authentication tokens
Personal data of your ISP’s end customers
IP addresses of end customers managed within Splynx
Financial or billing information displayed in the admin panel
Content of tickets, messages, or customer records
Keystrokes, form field inputs, or free-text entries
Screenshots or session recordings
We collect analytics data exclusively for the following purposes:
Product improvement — understanding which features are used most frequently to prioritize development efforts
Performance monitoring — identifying slow-loading pages, errors, and technical issues to improve system reliability
User experience analysis — studying navigation patterns to simplify workflows and improve the admin panel interface
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose other than improving the Splynx platform.
We process analytics data based on your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
When you first log in to the Splynx admin panel after this feature is enabled, you will be presented with a clear consent prompt explaining this data collection. You may choose to accept or decline. The Grafana Faro SDK is not initialized and no data is collected unless you explicitly accept.
Analytics data is collected by the Grafana Faro Web SDK, an open-source JavaScript library that runs in your browser. The SDK sends collected data to a local collector agent (Grafana Alloy) installed on your Splynx instance, which in turn transmits the data to our central analytics server.
The data is stored in:
Grafana Loki — for logs and usage events
Grafana Tempo — for performance tracing
All data transmission occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections. The analytics data is authenticated using a secure token mechanism to prevent unauthorized access.
Analytics data is stored on servers operated by Splynx s.r.o. located in the EU (Czech Republic / Frankfurt, Germany).
We retain analytics data for a period of 24 months (2 years) from the date of collection. This duration enables year-over-year usage analysis, seasonal pattern detection, and long-term feature adoption tracking necessary for our annual product planning cycles.
Consent records (your decision to accept or decline, along with the timestamp and consent version) are retained for a minimum of 5 years in accordance with GDPR accountability requirements.
Analytics data is processed exclusively by the internal Splynx team. We do not:
Sell analytics data to any third party
Share analytics data with advertising networks
Transfer analytics data to any external service providers
Use analytics data to identify individual administrators to third parties
All analytics tools used (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Alloy, Faro SDK) are open-source software hosted on our own infrastructure. No data is sent to third-party SaaS analytics providers.
If your Splynx instance is located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), analytics data will be transferred to our central server in the EU (Czech Republic / Frankfurt, Germany). Where applicable, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
As an administrator whose data is being processed, you have the following rights under the GDPR and other applicable privacy laws:
Right to withdraw consent — You may withdraw your consent at any time by toggling the analytics setting in your admin profile (My Profile > Analytics data collection), or by declining consent when the prompt appears.
Right of access — You may request a copy of the analytics data associated with your device identifier.
Right to erasure — You may request deletion of analytics data associated with your device identifier.
Right to restriction — You may request that we restrict processing of your analytics data.
Right to object — You may object to the processing of your analytics data at any time.
Right to data portability — You may request your analytics data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Right to lodge a complaint — You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For the Czech Republic: Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7 (www.uoou.cz).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@splynx.com.
You can manage your analytics consent in two ways:
Consent prompt — Choose “Accept” or “Decline” when the prompt appears.
Admin profile — Go to My Profile > “Analytics data collection” section and use the toggle.
When you disable analytics collection, the Grafana Faro SDK stops immediately.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect analytics data, including:
Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmissions
Token-based authentication for the analytics collection endpoint
Access controls limiting analytics data to authorized Splynx personnel only
Regular security reviews of our analytics infrastructure
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes:
The “Last updated” date will be revised.
If changes affect data collection scope, you will be asked to provide consent again.
