Over the past year, we’ve continued to make incredible progress in Splynx development and delivering more features requested by customer’s, so it can be truly useful for your ISP business. Today, we’re introducing the Receivable aging report, our new addition to financial statements, to quickly assess the condition of your customer’s receivables through our platform and stay on top of delinquent accounts. See how this new tool works—and how it helps track overdue payments and manage accounts receivable effectively.
Any sales that occur within a business (and ISPs are no exception) where payment is not made upfront (e.g., retail) or in advance of the sale (e.g., down payment for a car) are reflected as Accounts Receivable. This is accounting terminology for money a company’s customers owe for goods or services they’ve received but not yet paid for.
Having accounts receivable is a good sign—it means you’re making sales. But the downside is that it’s money you don’t have yet, and there’s always a chance some customers won’t pay. Luckily, a reliable system for managing accounts receivable helps reduce non-paying customers and avoid bad debts.
An aging report, also known as an accounts receivable aging report, is a financial document that organizes all outstanding customer invoices based on their length. It is an essential tool for tracking accounts receivable.
If you only have a few sales or customers, a simple spreadsheet might work. But as your business grows, accounting or billing software becomes essential for handling more customers and transactions.
Also, this report can be used for assessing credit customers and adjusting credit policy, minimizing revenue loss, writing off uncollectible debts, detecting payment patterns (e.g. recurring delays from specific customers or locations) and better relationship management overall. Additionally, delayed payments tied to disputes over particular services or products can highlight areas for operational improvements, such as refining billing accuracy or enhancing customer support to resolve issues promptly. All those efforts help streamline collections processes and optimize cash flow—contributing to overall financial health and business stability.
The Receivables aging report in Splynx provides an overview of customers’ outstanding balances and how long they have been past due. It lists each customer along the vertical axis and the aging categories along the horizontal axis.
This report is crucial for tracking overdue payments and assessing receivables’ financial health. Our platform compiles customer invoices by date ranges, categorizing receivables by how long they have been outstanding and breaking them down into 30-day intervals, ranging from 1–30 days to 120+ days.
The Receivables aging report in Splynx includes the following fields and elements:
The Receivables aging report is our latest addition to the Statements, where you can view a report of customer financial statements specifically regarding Transactions and Finance documents (invoices, payments, credit notes).
This new table format report lets you track overdue amounts (all necessary data pulled automatically directly from the system) and prioritize collections based on aging categories, focusing first on the oldest debts. As you know, usually, the longer the invoices are late, the less likely they will be paid; therefore, they require the most attention.
If any customers are late on paying an invoice, the money they owe will be shown under the right overdue category column. For example, an invoice due on November 1st that remains unpaid by November 30th would fall into the “1-30” days overdue category. That means the customer is late to pay your invoice for more than a month but not for more than two months, and so on.

Additional options and filters provide some extra opportunities for analysing receivables by individual customers. For example, intuitive colour-coding enhances clarity: blue highlights active or new customers, while red indicates blocked accounts, signaling urgent attention. This visual approach also helps quickly spot the most problematic customers with overdue balances in the 120+ days column. Filters for partners, locations, and statuses, along with a search bar, enable to drill down into specific data depending on needs and priorities.
Of course, the export option for this report, which uses available methods and specified formats, is also included. So, if customers ask for it, you can send them a PDF directly into the chat.
Since each main Splynx module (Billing, CRM, Ticketing, Scheduling), apart from add-ons (WhatsApp Business), is directly connected to the customer’s profile, you’ve got plenty of other opportunities for further actions based on the aging report. For example, prioritize collections activities, focus on the oldest debts first, or send payment reminders to notify customers of overdue payments and fee applications. By tracking all customer communication in one place, you can address any issues, such as invoice disputes. When an administrator clicks on an assigned ticket from the dashboard, the entire communication history can be viewed directly on the customer’s profile without leaving the window.

Another way to reduce accounts receivable and extend credit (before, it is usually a good idea to assess their ability to pay) is to offer alternate payment methods. As of today, Splynx already supports over 15 payment systems, including Netcash, PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.net, and IPPay, with more integrations on the way. Our Cashdesk module enables easy cash payment processing, and with an open API, custom payment integrations are just a project away.
