Our previous billing software was known as Unify. With this we had some major problems in the billing aspect such as account balance not matching up, issues with invoices, online payment issues, API outdated and not working as expected and not being able to keep track of devices we sell and manage inventory properly. We had to pay 10 times more than what we paid for Splynx.

Why Splynx?

Mainly due to the ease of the billing system which was presented to us. It had all the aspects of our daily operations bundled into one. Previously we had everything separate, a different billing system, another ticketing system, inventory management was havoc, and radius/ NAS was not up to the standards. If we created a new package we had to reboot our NAS. Which was something we debated for a long time to be fixed. We cannot give bonus data to customers other than what's defined on the package. With Splynx all these were getting addressed, billing, customers, ticketing, inventory, scheduling and Radius/NAS all these were coming into one centralized system. Moreover, numerous options on Tariff plans which we could provide to customers. Such as bonus data and setting bandwidth boost for different hours of the day. For us, Splynx was the gem that we had been searching for a long time.

Where to start, We can now have more precise bandwidth control on our customer base with better-designed packages. We are able to track all our devices by knowing who we had sold the devices to. Our billing system has gone almost automated to the Finance team by removing all the manual work they were doing. We even joked during the implementation that now the billing team could be just one person. It was that much automated. Before they had to crunch numbers at the end of every bill running date. I would say with all the features that came with Splynx, our finance team would have been the happiest. Cause I knew the struggle they had been going through for the past decade. Yes, we spent more than 10 years with our previous billing system.
