Broadband Package Variability With Splynx

One of the key parameters is a wide choice of broadband prices when choosing a provider. Potential customers can find the product that best suits their current requirements within the price range. A detailed grading of services and plans provides an increase in sales because most end users can select the rate they require and therefore feel that their purchase is a rational choice. In addition, the internet service company should predict the growing needs of users and create effective price plans and services accordingly.

To ensure that an internet service provider can fully provide end-users with different options for broadband tariff offers, Splynx has billing functions for both Standard tariff plans (postpaid, prepaid billing, recurring billing) and Custom tariffs plans.

Splynx has several options for setting up broadband prices:

1. Internet tariff plans

The internet tariff plans feature allows ISPs to assign monthly prices, download and upload speeds, data allowance, partners (resellers), value-added tax (VAT), priority for IP packets of customers, aggregation, burst limit, burst threshold, and burst time. This option provides customers with a wide range of options to choose from and enables them to select a plan that meets their needs and budget.

One of the key features of internet tariff plans is the ability to set download and upload speeds, which are important factors that customers consider when choosing an internet package. A customer who requires high download speeds, for example, may opt for a higher-priced package that offers faster speeds. On the other hand, a customer who only needs basic internet services for browsing and checking emails may choose a lower-priced package with slower speeds.

Another critical aspect of internet tariff plans is the ability to prioritize IP packets of customers, which means that certain types of traffic (such as video streaming or online gaming) can be given priority over other types of traffic. This feature ensures that customers receive the best possible internet experience for their specific needs.

Moreover, internet tariff plans provide flexibility for broadband service providers to partner with resellers, who can resell the internet services to end-users. This feature allows broadband service providers to expand their customer base and generate more revenue. Find out more: “Internet plans“.

2. Voice tariff plans

The voice tariff plan feature allows ISPs to expand their services to include voice services, such as a VoIP service, toll numbers, number rental, or mobile plans. By offering voice services, ISPs can attract a wider range of customers who may be interested in a comprehensive package that includes both voice and internet services. This leads to an increase in revenue and customer retention.

In addition, Splynx is able to process the call detail record (CDR) from voice platforms, attach calls from CDRs to the correct customer, create transactions for voice usage, and make one combined invoice for voice services and the internet. This simplifies the billing process for customers, who can receive a single invoice for all their services, which leads to better customer experience and reduces the likelihood of billing disputes. More information about the Splynx setting can be found in our user guidelines.

3. Recurring tariff plans

Recurring tariff plans offered by Splynx allow internet providers to charge customers for additional services apart from internet and voice services. These services may include IPTV, public IP addresses, rental of equipment or hosting, among others. One of the advantages of recurring tariff plans is that they allow ISPs to charge customers on a regular basis, such as monthly or annually, for the additional services they provide. This provides a steady source of revenue for the ISP and helps them to plan and manage their business more effectively. Moreover, customers who subscribe to these recurring plans are more likely to stay with the ISP for a longer period of time.

In Splynx, configuring a recurring tariff plan is a straightforward process that involves setting the price, billing cycle, and duration of the plan. ISPs can also customize these plans according to the needs of their customers and adjust the prices and duration as necessary. See more details about how to configure a recurring plan in Splynx.

4. Capped tariff plans

Internet usage limits — and overage charges for those who exceed them — are a feature of most internet and wireless packages. For those providers who don’t offer unlimited data with internet plans, Splynx billing software has a data CAP feature. CAP is a feature that allows ISP to provide internet services with a monthly data limit and charge customers for additional data. The advantage of this is that customers can pay more to extend their CAP using the Top-Up tool. The administrator designs the Top-Up plans that are available for customers in addition to their regular internet plans. See more in our guidelines.

For example, a customer who has signed up for an internet plan with a data limit of 50 GB per month can purchase a Top-Up plan of 10 GB for an additional fee, which will be added to their regular monthly bill. This way, the customer can enjoy more data without having to upgrade to a higher-tier plan, which might be more expensive.

Another advantage of capped tariff plans is that they can help to reduce network congestion by encouraging customers to use their data more efficiently. When customers are aware of their data usage limits, they are more likely to avoid data-intensive activities such as streaming high-definition video or downloading large files, which can slow down the network for other users.

5. Bundle Plans

Bundle plans are a useful feature for ISPs as they allow them to group different services together under one plan and offer customers a comprehensive package with a combined price. This not only simplifies the billing process for both the ISP and the customer but also provides customers with the convenience of having all their services under one plan. Learn more about bundle plans.

For example, an ISP may offer a bundle plan that includes a high-speed internet connection, a VoIP phone line, and a rental modem. The customer would pay one combined monthly fee for all of these services, and any changes to the plan or additional services can be added easily through the ISP’s billing system.

In addition to the standard tariff plans, Splynx also provides value-added services (VAS) that can be offered to customers as an additional service. VAS helps ISPs to differentiate themselves from their competitors by providing unique and specialized services that cater to specific customer needs. Moreover, VAS such as cybersecurity or Wi-Fi hotspot solutions can generate additional revenue streams for ISPs, leading to increased profitability and customer loyalty.

In conclusion, Splynx’s advanced billing functions make it a valuable tool for ISPs who want to stay competitive in a constantly evolving market by providing innovative pricing options that match their customers’ changing needs.
