With Paymentus integration, payments made through this Level 1 PCI-compliant platform are reflected in real-time across the Splynx platform, allowing ISPs to instantly update customer balances and see payment status changes immediately.

As customers make payments through various channels, ISPs can use Splynx’s billing automation to manage collections proactively, for example, by automatically updating service status or sending confirmation notifications when payments are processed. As soon as payment status changes in Paymentus, customer accounts are updated in Splynx, creating a seamless payment reconciliation experience.

Key features of the Splynx-Paymentus integration

Here’s a breakdown of the key functionalities and advantages:

IVR payments

Splynx is continuously updated with Paymentus IVR payment data, allowing customers to make payments using their phone without any assistance from a human agent. A core advantage for ISPs is the real-time API integration. Successful payments made through the IVR trigger an immediate API call to a Splynx endpoint. This ensures that Splynx’s system is instantly updated with the successful payment, allowing for real-time balance reconciliation and accurate account status. This real-time capability also supports the automated creation of credit notes and balance updates across billing and accounting when administrators process refunds.

Guest payments

The Guest Payment Flow is a web-based payment experience designed for users who do not wish to sign up for or log into the customer portal. Instead, you can send customers a direct link to make a one-time payment using their account number. This feature is especially useful for agents assisting customers with outstanding balances or when included in payment reminders, allowing those without saved cards to quickly and easily complete their payments.

Expanded payments

Splynx integrates with Paymentus’s Instant Payment Network (IPN) to support modern payment options, including American Express, Discover, and digital wallets (PayPal, PayPal Credit, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay), Scan-to-Pay feature, and more. This integration enhances customer satisfaction by enabling subscribers to use their preferred digital payment methods instantly, instead of being limited to traditional card payments, and increasing on-time payment rates.

Beyond these features, it includes all standard capabilities available in Splynx:

• Credential Management. Paymentus credentials (Portal ID and PIN Code) are available and manageable through both the Splynx Admin portal (in the Billing config on the customer’s profile) and the Customer portal (under Finance → Paymentus payment credentials).
• Balance Top-Up. Customers can instantly top up their balance directly from the Splynx Dashboard using a dedicated “Pay by Paymentus” button.
• Auto-Charging Invoices. Administrators can perform batch-charging of invoices using the Paymentus gateway.
• Payment Refunds. A “Refund” button allows administrators to automatically create credit notes and update balances across billing and accounting when processing refunds for Paymentus payments.
• Direct Payment Links. For invoices and proforma invoices, direct payment links are available. These links can be included in emails, allowing customers to pay quickly without needing to log into their portal, especially if they have saved payment credentials.
• Payment Logs. Detailed Paymentus logs are available on the customer’s profile, showing the payment system, type, customer name, status, and original payment method.
