Basic Splynx platform provides with three reselling modes which you can set up in a Partners section:

  • Mode Percentage;
  • Own invoicing for resellers;
  • Aggregate invoice.

Mode Percentage

By using this mode, the company can choose to operate all reseller’s network activities, meaning the company will invoice, charge and receive payment from the client and then pay the reseller a percentage that the company determines.  

Own invoicing for resellers

If reseller wants to run his own billing cycle and distribute his own invoices, the isp can create a reseller’s account on Splinx billing system and add access for the reseller to charge his customers by using his own invoicing in a  resellers mode. An Internet wholesaler does not have to waste the time of reselling activities directly – under this mode, everything is separated.  Resellers themselves can admin database and charge customers with their own PDF designed invoices. They are able to sell individual tariff plans, as well.

Aggregated invoice

How to Use Splynx Billing Payment Reminders and Notifications


Splynx billing software was designed to make communicating flow with your clients as easy  and uncomplicated as possible. Automations play a key role in keeping the speed, efficiency and accuracy of processes. Splynx auto notifications and reminders ensure that both broadband providers and customers stay informed about their cases’ progress.

In Splynx billing system, you can create automated Notifications and Payment Reminders by entering them on Finance+configuration.

Notifications of Invoice Creation, Proforma Invoice or Payment

Each one of your notifications can be customized with the following parameters:

  • Automatically send a notification after creating – enable/ disable the option of sending notifications automatically after creating the Payment. 
  • Subject – write the subject of a notification message. 
  • Template – choose from different  templates for notifications
  • Delay in sending – choose how many hours the notification will be sent after the Payment creation. The options are: in 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 hours. 
  • Working days – select days of the week when notifications will be sent. It can be sent after selected delay in hours on the first working day and hour.
  • Working time – select working hours for the notification sending. Notification will be sent after selected delay in hours on the first working day.
  • Attach receipt – you can enable or disable the option to attach the receipt. (only for Proforma Invoice Notifications)

When Invoice, Proforma Invoice or Payment will be created customer will receive a notification by email with its attachment.

Prepaid Notifications 

Prepaid Notifications can be used to send to customers an email, SMS or email+SMS to notify them about their low balance and remind them to make a payment for broadband service. If a customer has Prepaid type of billing, he will also be notified from the broadband provider about his current balance in the Customer Portal → Services. Splynx billing software allows to generate 3 before blocking notifications and each of them can be configured with the following parameters:

  • Hour of sending – choose the hour when the Prepaid notification will be sent.
  • Send notification – enable\ disable the option of sending Prepaid notification
  • Days before blocking – choose and write how many days will be left until blocking the customer
  • Send to – select the sending option of prepaid notification: Mail, SMS or Mail+SMS. Information about configuring SMS can be found in our tutorial page – SMS config.
  • Subject – write the subject of Notification message.
  • Mail Template – choose a template for the mail notification.  
  • SMS Template – choose a template for the SMS notification.


Payment Reminders

Payment Reminders are used in Recurring billing. Splynx billing software allows to set payment reminder via email SMS or email+SMS three times for each past due batch.. Reminders can be set up with following parameters:

  • Enable Reminders – enable or disable automatic reminders. 
  • Message type – choose message type for sending reminders: Mail, SMS, Mail+SMS. Information about configuring SMS you can find in our tutorial page – SMS config.
  • Hour of sending – choose time for sending reminder
  • Reminder #1 day – select in how many days you’d like the First Reminder to be sent. 
  • Subject #1 – type a subject for the 1st Reminder
  • Reminder #2 day – select in how many days you’d like the Second Reminder to be sent.
  • Subject #2 – type a subject for 2dReminder
  • Reminder #3 day – select in how many days you’d like the Third Reminder to be sent. 
  • Subject #3 – type a subject for 3d Reminder
  • Attach unpaid invoices with reminders to email – choose this option to attach unpaid invoices to email. 

A great-looking user interface displays the “Calendar” next to “Reminders settings” so user can easy manage the schedule of reminders.

Defining User Roles, Permissions and Access

To achieve more granularity and tighten user account security, Splynx billing software supports multiple users that you can add, modify, or delete different settings, permissions, and roles.

During creation or editing a user account in Splynx software, you can determine a user role, add specific permissions, and allow or ban access at different levels.

Splynx makes it easy for ISP manager to assign permissions by providing pre-defined “roles” to choose from. These roles and their permissions are fully customizable at the administrator level.  By selecting one of the pre-defined roles (Super administrator Administrator, Customer creator, Financial Manager, Manager, New Role) during user account creation, billing system applies the relevant permission settings for that role. All permissions are fully controlled through configurable user roles that determine which users have access to which data sets and system functions. There is no limit to the number of roles that can be created, allowing granular control of users in your business.

The intuitive Splynx Admin control panel bands together all the options required to configure the roles and permission groups and has a flexible structure.

To assign a role for a user account in Splynx billing software, go through the following steps:

  1. In the Account section of the main navigation, click Administration settings.
  2. Select Roles tab and create a list of all user account who will manage Splynx (click Add User icon in the upper-right corner).

From the Select a Role dropdown menu, select one of the following user roles:

  • Super Administrator
  • Administrator
  • Customer creator
  • Financial manager
  • Manager
  • New Role (To customize your own roles)

After you select a particular role for the user account, Splynx management system automatically applies the pre-defined permissions for that role (based on the most typical settings). If necessary, you can additionally customize permission levels (add, modify, or delete) for a user in after selecting a role in the Permissions tab:

By clicking on each field, you will be able to change particular permissions for different subcategories of that field.

The Splynx supports two-factor authentication. A configuration security feature that enables system administrators to implement customized access to Splinx software tools by setting Google authenticator.

ISP Inventory management

Inventory management

Splynx brings Internet providers efficient and simple way to manage their inventory and stock. Feature is available from 2.0 release.
Inventory dashboard shows amount of items, products, suppliers and invoices in the system. Splynx allows to scan and quickly work with barcodes.

Suppliers are companies that sell equipment and issue invoices. Splynx stores and links items/equipment units with particular supplier’s invoice.

Products are routers, switches, cable units, antennas and similar. Administrator can define default price that will be used by system when equipment is rented or sold to customer. Vendors section store information about producers of equipment such as Mikrotik, Cisco, Radwin or Ubiquiti.

Items is the most used section, it’s a common table with all equipment units. Administrator is able to assign equipment units to other administrator, set as internally used, move units from stock to customer or mark them as broken and send back to supplier.



Barcodes. You can use any barcode reader and scan barcodes of equipment when entering it to stock. Then find simply equipment unit using it’s barcode. Our search barcode feature allows to select multiple barcodes and work quickly with barcode scanner instead of typing long useless numbers.
